Getting started

Assignment reminders:

  • Research an artist living and working in the 15th or 16th century in either Italy or Northern Europe.
  • Select a painting with a specific theme in mind (see your instructor's handout for a list) and focus your research on this theme.

Your annotated bibliography will be in the Chicago Manual format and should include a minimum of 6 sources, including

  • 3 books
  • 2 periodical articles
  • 1 academic (scholarly) article
  • 1 - 2 websites (no more than 2) showing evidence of ABCD analysis

Each tab on this web guide will help you with the research portion of your final project.
